We made bracelets. It went well except I was helping them at first and I didn't really know how to make them :/ So Jade had to come and re-do them for the kids, but the finished product was cute and the kids had a blast.

Hi Ho Apples!
These are the felt apples I made a
while back. I made ten of them and I have a tree designed for a background I just haven't made it yet... *Sigh* I also designed pears and oranges, just need to finish them :) Oh, and acorns too.
Felt Shapes
So I also quickly cut out some shapes today. There are eight of each. I like these because you can use them to teach so many things. Lyssa and Kyla already know shapes and colors so we will be using these to help teach counting and patterns. I'm excited to see how they do with patterns, we haven't really tried that with either of them yet. They also like building things with the different shapes.Felt Squares
Slowly but surely we (meaning I) have been working on projects for our felt board. The kids love it so I can't wait to get more done. I have some big projects started but today I cut out some different sized squares just to get something done. The kids sat at the table and watched me cut them out, they couldn't wait to have them. We used the squares teach the kids the difference between big and small and biggest to smallest. Even Aiyan got in on it. Next I'll be cutting out some different shapes.
Project time!
So, Jade and I have been talking and decided to publish a "sister" blog to "Homeschool Life". I will be posting pictures of the projects we do with the kids. Some will go along with their lessons and others will be just for fun. The biggest ongoing project we have is the felt board. It will keep me busy for a long time as the options are practically endless. Right now I have made some apples for counting and am working on pieces to go along with their Bible lessons (they're learning about the creation).
